Denza Z9 GT Becomes Fastest New Energy Luxury GT to Deliver 10,000 Vehicles, BYD Says
The Denza Z9 GT has set a new benchmark in the world of luxury electric vehicles, achieving a significant milestone by becoming the fastest new energy luxury GT to deliver 10,000 vehicles. According to BYD, this achievement underscores the Z9 GT's popularity and the growing demand for high-performance electric cars in the luxury segment.

The Denza Z9 GT was launched in September 2024, available in three PHEV and two EV variants:
- 1100 4WD Pro PHEV: 334,800 yuan (45,800 USD)
- 1100 4WD Max PHEV: 364,800 yuan (49,900 USD)
- 1100 4WD Ultra PHEV: 414,800 yuan (56,600 USD)
- 630 4WD Pro EV: 354,800 yuan (48,500 USD)
- 630 4WD Max EV: 384,800 yuan (52,600 USD)
For the exterior, the Denza Z9 GT’s overall design theme is called Elegance in Motion. In particular, the design of the front face is inspired by the vitality of the sunrise while the rear gives a “classical symmetrical aesthetic”, according to the official. Built based on BYD’s e3 platform, the PHEV variant measures 5195/1990/1500 mm with a 3125 mm wheelbase. The length of the EV variant is 5180 mm while the other dimensions remain the same. Furthermore, the Denza Z9 GT’s official moose test speed exceeded 85 km/h.

In terms of power, the PHEV variant integrates BYD’s DM 5.0 technology, consisting of a 152 kW (204 hp) 2.0T engine, a 200 kW (268 hp) front electric motor, and two 440 kW (590 hp) rear electric motors, paired with a 38.512 kWh Blade battery pack. The CLTC pure electric range is 201 km and the comprehensive range is 1,100 km.
The EV variant has a 230 kW (308 hp) front electric motor, two 480 kW (644 hp) rear electric motors, and a 100 kWh Blade battery pack. The 0 – 100 km/h acceleration time is 3.4 seconds and the CLTC range is 630 km. With its 800V high-voltage platform, the Denza Z9 GT EV can replenish its battery from 30% to 80% with 19 minutes of charging time.
Inside, the “AI-defined” smart cockpit is powered by the BYD 9000 cockpit chip for the first time and can realize up to 10-screen linkage. There is a 13.2-inch embedded full LCD instrument panel, a four-spoke multi-function steering wheel, a 17.3-inch center control touch screen, a 13.2-inch co-pilot entertainment screen, a 50-inch AR-HUD, a digital rearview mirror, and two screens for the digital side mirrors.
The front and rear seats are electrically adjustable and have heating, ventilation, and 10-point massage functions. The co-pilot zero-gravity seat comes with a four-way adjustable legrest. The car is also equipped with electric doors.
Additionally, the interior comes with two refrigerators for both the front and rear rows, a retractable Devialet speaker, dual retractable 50W wireless charging panels, hidden air-conditioning vents, 128-color ambient lights, and a 2.1 m2 panoramic roof.
