China’s state-owned energy leader Huaneng Group has launched the world’s largest fleet of 100 driverless electric mining trucks at the Yimin open-pit coal mine in Inner Mongolia.

Developed with Huawei’s cutting-edge autonomous driving technology, these

trucks leverage artificial intelligence, 5G-Advanced connectivity, cloud computing, and intelligent battery-swapping systems.

Each vehicle is powered by a 564 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery, capable of hauling 90 metric tons and functioning in severe cold as low as -40°C.

Designed for rugged mining environments, the autonomous trucks can independently load and unload materials, thriving in harsh weather and challenging terrain.
