The first highlight in the new Nova 14 series, powered by HarmonyOS 5.0, is AI photo-editing tools. Huawei has introduced the “AI Magic Image Shift” feature with the newly launched smartphone lineup to make image editing more fun. AI Magic Image Shift lets you freely drag, scale, rotate, and copy people or objects in the picture. You can easily change the way an image looks by simply adding some extra cutouts to it, without using any third-party application. Next is the AI Portrait Retouch feature. From the name, the feature helps to correct the ambient light and shadow parts in the portrait. Celia – a smarter AI assistant
Huawei Nova 14 series uses an advanced Celia AI assistant powered by the Pangu and DeepSeek AI models. It understands users’ commands and requests better than before. The company has trained 100+ scenarios to Celia this time. It can now understand 11 context-based emotions and offer more realistic emotional expressions. The virtual assistant can answer the phone call for you, as per the scenario. One can customize Celia’s initial response for other people. Smart Agent: Uses DeepSeek capabilities to help you in your daily work. Celia Help: Responds as per different call objects and scenarios, leading to smart call answering. AI Call Summary: Translate dialogues in real-time, repair speech, and smartly generate summaries, making communication efficient. HarmonyOS 5.0 also brings an AI
air gesture file transfer feature for the Nova 14 series. Simply enact the ‘grab’ gesture on the screen with your hand in the air and then transfer the image, file, document, and more by dropping these files. AI Smart Control key that makes your phone’s lock key better than ever before. It lets you access frequent apps or features in no time, just press the lock screen accordingly. HarmonyOS 5.0 also brings an enhanced live view feature that shows the information of various apps in real-time on the lock screen, off-screen, status bar, and the notification bar, without even opening the app. Also, users can now access 120+ apps with a single tap.
